We want to make sure the homes and housing services we provide will meet the needs of our residents now and in the future. To help with this, we are carrying out tenancy visits to get a better understanding of the residents living in the properties we manage.
Over the coming months, our housing teams will visit every council-owned property in Newcastle. These visits are essential in ensuring the information we hold is correct and up to date and will give residents the chance to raise issues and ask questions.
We want to:
- make sure the details we have about you and your household are correct and our records are up to date
- identify any issues with your home, such as repairs or damp and mould, or fire safety risks
- give you information about housing services and what we can help with
- check if you need any other support
During these visits, you’ll have the chance to ask any questions you may have. In the meantime, you can find links to some of the things we know people most commonly need to find on our site here: General Tenancy Information | Newcastle City Council
If you have any questions about the tenancy visits, please contact us on 0191 278 7878 or at gettingtoknowyou@newcastle.gov.uk.
