You should plan works around schools during holiday periods wherever possible, and give extra attention to signage, lighting, and guarding if not possible. You should consult us about accessibility considerations if you intend to work near other sensitive locations such as centres that cater for those with disabilities.

You will need to contact us in advance if you propose any works during these times, as we may need more time to notify people and coordinate the works.

You will need to email Public Safety and Regulation at psr@newcastle.gov.uk if you intend to use any mechanical plant that could cause excessive noise during these times.

We accept that in some instances work during these times is unavoidable.

You should also ensure that dust is always kept to a minimum, especially when using cutting tools.
