Major development work, as part of a multi-million-pound investment in the city centre, is under way on Pilgrim Street and the surrounding area.
These developments will bring thousands of jobs into the city centre and will support wider regeneration and growth, as well as providing an economic boost to local businesses.
To support this development, we are carrying out improvements to roads and pavements on the southern section of Pilgrim Street, between Market Street and Mosley Street. This includes resurfacing, new paving, improved pedestrian crossing facilities, and a new two-way cycle lane.
We will need to introduce temporary traffic arrangements while we complete these works. There may be changes to some bus stops and routes in this area. Visit the Nexus website for the latest travel updates and information about affected services.
