Our crews work from 6:30am to 4:30pm with their system updating overnight. If your bin was not collected during your collection slot, please report this the day after your scheduled bin collection. This is because we won’t have data on bin route maps or vehicle tracking until the next day.
Before reporting, please check our bin collection rules on the ‘Why we might have missed your bin’ page. As a reminder, our bin crews won’t visit your property at the same time every week.
Reporting a household bin missed collection
Use this form to report your missed bin collection. You can also see if there are any reported problems for your street. This form covers reports for household blue, green, or brown bins and assisted lifts.
If we missed your bin for two collection dates, call 0191 2787 878 and ask for 'Your Local Services'.
Reporting a shared bin missed collection
You can use our form to report a shared bin missed collection. This form is for shared bins in a back lane or for a block of flats.
What happens next?
- If we missed an assisted collection, we will recollect within 3 working days (excluding Mondays).
- If we missed a whole or half street, we will recollect within 3 working days (excluding Mondays).
- If we missed a shared bin, we will recollect within 3 working days (excluding Mondays).
- If our vehicles were on your street, then there is a reason your bin was not collected. We will collect on your next scheduled collection. See here for Why we might have missed your bin.
Our bin crew working week is Tuesday to Friday, and Monday is not counted in the '3 working day' return time.
