If you have any of the following vehicle types you will only be able to use the Brunswick site.
- Van (including van hire)
- Car-derived van
- Pick-up truck
- Camper vans and minibuses
- Any vehicle with more than 7 seats, or with rear seats that have been removed/modified
- Any vehicle towing a trailer
- Any vehicle displaying a company livery or logo
You will also need a permit for access.
How to apply for a permit
You can apply for a permit by texting our dedicated ‘WasteBot’ following the instructions below:
- Text ‘waste’ to 07492 880 069
- Follow instructions that the WasteBot texts to you
You will need to confirm your name and address. This can take up to 1 minute to complete. You can even do this when you are queuing!
- Once you have applied using the WasteBot, you will receive your permit on your phone. You will need to bring your permits on your visit.
- Each time you visit, you will need photo identification and proof of Newcastle address (for example a driving licence, or a passport with a bill or bank statement).
- You are issued with 6 permits for a 12-month period. Permits are automatically renewed 12 months from the date you first signed up.
