The Health and Wellbeing Board brings together leaders from the NHS, Newcastle City Council, universities, community groups and the police. They work together to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Newcastle.
The Board works with Public Health to:
- understand what local people need
- reduce health inequalities
- make sure services work well together and focus on what matters most to residents
The Board also oversees key plans like:
- the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
- the Health and Wellbeing Strategy
These plans help shape a healthier and fairer Newcastle.
