Overview
Ouseburn’s City Stadium Park was originally part of the infamous Cllr T. Dan Smith’s plans to host the Empire Games in 1966.
Description
There is still a gravel running track on the park, and it was part of Cllr T. Dan Smiths’ plans to build a proper stadium on the site to host the 1966 Empire Games. The plans never materialised but the name stuck.
City Stadium is a popular park for running and sports activities today. There is a good network of paths and is well connected to the Ouseburn Valley and variety of places to eat and things to do.
