Temporary Tradesman Parking Permit

Apply and pay for a Temporary Tradesman Permit, allowing you to park in a permit zone for up to 3 months while working.

This permit is for tradesman working on longer-term projects at a property, on land, or on the highway within a permit parking zone. It can be issued for up to 3 months.

Cost

A 3 month Temporary Tradesman Permit costs £20. 

Where you can use your Temporary Tradesman Permit

Temporary tradesman permits can be used in any street within the same permit zone that is on the scratchcard (for example, J2, OB1, G3) during enforcement hours. You can only use them for work vehicles, not for staff parking. You must check the bay is for permit holders.

Applying for a permit

Before you apply, make sure:

  • the property you are working at is eligible for this permit
  • you are applying at least 14 days before you need the permit (if possible)

Documents you will need

When applying for a Temporary Tradesman Parking Permit you will need to provide proof that you are working at a property within the permit zone. This could include:

  • a contract for the work
  • an estimate or quotation
  • an invoice
  • planning permission

All documents should be on your business letterhead.

You can apply for up to 3 temporary permits at one time. Permits can be renewed if you provide proof that work is still ongoing.
