You will need licensing if your event includes:
- selling alcohol
- selling hot food or hot non-alcoholic drinks between 11pm and 5am
- putting on entertainment like plays, films, indoor sports, boxing or wrestling, live music, recorded music or dance performances

Premises Licenses
Newcastle Council holds 28 premises licences. These can be used by anyone who wants to run events in the city. Using one of these licences can make the legal process easier.
Town Moor
If your event is on the Town Moor, you’ll need to speak to the Freeman of Newcastle before submitting an application.
