Improving your digital skills with Get Online Newcastle

Newcastle libraries offer four courses to help improve digital skills as part of the Get Online Newcastle scheme:

  • Basic Computer Training: learn the basics of using a computer
  • Introduction to Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint: learn the basics of Microsoft Office
  • Techy Tea Party: bring along your own device and learn how to use it securely

Eligibility for digital skills courses

Courses are open to anyone who lives in Newcastle aged over 18.

Booking a digital skills course

You can book the course online. If you do not have an email address, you can use this email: getonline@newcastle.gov.uk.

If you cannot book online yourself, you can either:

  • visit your local library
  • call us on 0191 277 8842. The phone line is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm

We will send you a booking confirmation email, and a reminder call one week before you start.
