Getting to Gosforth Library

Gosforth Library is in the same building as Newcastle City Learning's Learning Centre. At Gosforth Library, we have:

• Regent Centre travel interchange, just a 4-minute walk away, for bus and Metro travel in all directions
• cycle racks outside the front door of the library
• limited parking behind the library in a pay to park car park (check the car park's tariff board for cost and parking time)

Available facilities at Gosforth Library

At Gosforth Library, you will be able to:

• borrow books, audio books, board games and more
• borrow books for adults and children
• reserve books, toys, and board games
• print and photocopy
• use public computers and scanners for up to 3 hours a day
• get advice on using our BorrowBox app to browse our eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines
• use a freephone to contact other council services

The public computers are automatically turned off 15 minutes before closing time

• explore our Toy Library collection
• join the Lego club: Tuesdays, 3:30 to 4:30pm
• attend our Under 5 Storytime session: Tuesdays, 11am to 11:30am, and Fridays, 10:30am to 11am (during term time only)
• borrow or order a ‘Starting School’ book bag: each bag contains 4 books to help you start a conversation with your child about the school day and how they feel about this big change

Health and Wellbeing

• check out the 'Soundtrack of Your Life' booklet from Playlist for Life at our help point: this booklet helps people with dementia and their carers find special songs

Crafting and Hobbies

• join our Knit and Crochet group: Wednesdays, 11am to 12pm
