Getting to Denton Burn Library
Denton Burn Library is on West Road, near Hadrian's Wall. It's in the same building as a Newcastle College Learning Centre. The library is easy to get to and has:
- local bus routes in both directions
- limited free parking in the library car park
- cycle racks at nearby shops on the corner of West Road and Broadwood Road

Available facilities at Denton Burn Library
At Denton Burn Library, you can:
- borrow books for adults and children
- reserve books, toys, and board games
- print and photocopy
- use public computers and scanners for up to 3 hours a day (computers turned off 15 minutes before closing time)
- get advice on using our BorrowBox app to browse our eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines
- get help with council enquiries
- use a freephone to contact other council services
When the library is closed if you need to use a public computer, print, or photocopy, the nearest branches are Fenham, Kenton Library and Outer West Library.
The public computers are automatically turned off 15 minutes before closing time

- attend our Under 5 Storytime session - Thursday 10.30am (during term times only)
- borrow or order a ‘Starting School’ book bag: each bag contains 4 books to help you start a conversation with your child about the school day and how they feel about this big change
- Lego - Monday 3:30pm
