Rent and bills

Your rent is charged weekly, on a Monday, to your account. Payments should be made in advance of the rent being due.

If you want to pay over a longer period (for example fortnightly, four weekly, or monthly) you must contact us to arrange that.

If you have any questions about your rent account, get in touch and we will:

  • offer you a confidential interview
  • respond to any queries
  • give you details about your account, including the balance if you need it

If you are having problems paying your rent it is very important that you contact us so that we can offer you help and support.

View and keep track of your rent account and statements

Every thirteen weeks we will send you a rent statement summarising transactions that have taken place on your account during that period.

If you require an up to date statement at any other time:

  • use the My Account system online
  • contact your local Housing Office, who will post one out to you

New customers can register using the same link.

To successfully register you will need to have:

  • Your Payment Reference Number - This can be found either on your swipe card or rent statement. Leaseholders can find their reference number on their service charge invoice.
  • Date of Birth

Ways to pay

We offer a number of methods to help make it as easy and convenient as possible for you to make a payment.

Pay your rent or service charges online

It’s quick and easy to pay your rent or service charges online. You will need:

  • your credit or debit card (we do not accept American Express, JCB or Diners Club cards)
  • your reference number or invoice

The cardholder must be present during the transaction

Direct debit

Paying by direct is easier for you and reduces our collection costs, making our service more efficient and cost effective.

Paying by Direct debit means there's:

  • no waiting in queues to pay your rent
  • no cheques to write
  • no paperwork or postage every month

If you have a a current account with a bank or building society, or certain types of deposit account, you can set up a Direct Debit by:

If you pay by Direct Debit you can choose what date and how often your payments are made, so you could ask for the money to leave your account just after you receive your wages or benefits.

We will then:

  • take payment on or immediately after the date you have chosen, with money credited to your account the same day
  • not change date without your prior agreement
  • tell you at least 10 working days in advance if the amount changes

If for any reason we or your bank or building society make an error we guarantee you a full and immediate refund.

And if you want to cancel your Direct Debit you can do so by simply writing to your bank or building society cancelling the instruction, then sending us a copy.
