Youth Council and Youth Parliament elections take place on Thursday 14 March 2024.
There will be 19 seats elected across the two bodies:
- 16 young people will be elected through voting across the city
- 3 young people will be selected from participation groups
The successful candidates will be announced at an event on 15 March 2024 following a formal count.
Standing as a candidate
If you want to stand for election:

- Fill out our expression of interest form - Doing so does not commit you to stand
- Attend one of our briefing sessions during February half term to learn more, ask any questions and get guidance on writing manifestos (Or request our voice and influence team visit your school or youth project)
