Pride in Place is a ten year government funded initiative designed to empower communities, regenerate neighbourhoods and restore local pride.
Four areas of Newcastle have each been allocated £20 million of Pride in Place funding:
This funding is intended to support community-led regeneration, with local people at the heart of decisions about which projects receive support.

Each area will have a Neighbourhood Board made up of local residents and partners who will help decide how the money is used.
This should make sure the funding meets local needs and supports the people who need it most.
You can come along to an information session to find out what is involved in being part of a Neighbourhood Board. The sessions are informal and open to anyone:
