E-scooter trial

The Neuron e-scooters trial has created 900,000 miles worth of trips so far. 41% of the e-scooters journeys have replaced car trips. These e-scooters have also boosted the local economy. 70% of trips taken in Newcastle led to an extra £8.9 million spent at local businesses each year.

Cycle Friendly Employer

We are a Cycle Friendly Employer and we have achieved a gold badge accreditation from ‘we are cycling UK’. This accreditation shows how the Council supports their employees cycling to work. In doing so it has also made a valuable contribution to creating a shift towards cycling.
