Focused Deterrence is a plan to stop crime by helping young people in the city centre. It brings together the police, community safety, and local authorities to support these young people.

Turnaround is a programme to help young people stay out of trouble. Turnaround builds on the success of the Supporting Families programme, which showed that working with children and their families can help meet their needs.

Victim Liaison Officers at Newcastle Youth Justice Service work directly with victims of crime to ensure they are listened to and involved in the process

Education support within YJS aims to raise educational outcomes for young people active to the youth justice service

A small, closed group that includes a 6-week programme covering identity, discrimination, objectification and social media influences

A drop-in session for young people to come together and play Xbox, watch YouTube or have a safe space to chat

We have several community hubs that provide an opportunity for young people to make amends if they receive an out of court disposal

We host a music therapist to unlock each young person's creativity
