What is corporate parenting?
When a child comes into care, we (the Council) become their Corporate Parent. Everyone who works for the council is responsible for helping our children in care succeed.
Every good parent wants the best for their child. They want to see their child healthy and happy. They want them to feel safe and ready for their next steps. A good parent wants their child to do well in their education. They want their children to form good and safe relationships with their peers, and enjoy their hobbies and interests.

Corporate Parenting Advisory Committee (CPAC)
The Corporate Parenting Advisory Committee (CPAC) meet every 8 weeks. They make sure that the Council fulfils its responsibilities to children in care. It is a non-partisan body, meaning all political parties can be represented.
