Ways to pay your business rates bill

Bacs and internet banking

If you would like to pay using Bacs or your own internet banking service, our bank details are:

You should quote your business rates reference number in the reference of your bank transfer. It begins with 69 or 70 and is on the top right of your bill.

The last two digits of the reference number represent the financial year. These two digits will change each year. Check you quote the correct reference so we can allocate your payment quickly.

Remittance advice notices for payments made to multiple business rates accounts must be emailed to business.rates@newcastle.gov.uk

You must instruct your bank 10 days before payment is due to ensure we receive the payment by the due date.

Standing order

You can set up a standing order with your bank, they will give you a form to fill in which you will need to complete. Please ensure that you follow the instructions as detailed above when completing your form.
