Supporting small business relief is available if you lose small business or rural rate relief as a result of a revaluation.
The scheme limits any increase in business rates to £600 per year.
You do not need to apply for this relief. We will apply the relief to your bill for each year you qualify.
When you cannot receive this relief
You will not be able to receive supporting small business relief if:
- your business property becomes empty
- you are eligible for mandatory charity or community amateur sports club relief
Your bill will be the full amount - we'll identify where this is the case and apply it automatically.
