Ways to pay the BID levy

Before the start of each financial year we will send a BID levy bill on behalf of the BID company.

Businesses must pay the BID levy to Newcastle City Council on 1 April each year. For new occupiers the BID levy is due within 14 days of receiving the BID invoice.

We have several options for you to make payment:

Online

You can pay your BID invoice online using your debit or credit card free of charge, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

You will need to have your full BID reference number to make your payment. Your reference number will be 8 digits and begins with 79 or 80.

Pay your BID levy online

Telephone payments

You can pay your BID using your debit or credit card free of charge. This service is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

You will need to have your full 8 digit BID reference number. 

Please call 0191 278 7878 to make your payment.

  • When phoning to make a payment you should ask for "payments".
  • When asked please state the payment you would like to make is "BID".
  • Follow the instructions.
  • Please keep a note of your receipt number to refer to the payment made.

You must instruct your bank 10 days before payment is due to ensure we receive the payment by the due date.
