Our place shaping strategy is simple and centres on two priorities that directly benefit residents:

We will work with our residents, landlords, developers and communities in our city to be community focused in ensuring that all residents have access to good quality homes across all tenures and that they live in communities and neighbourhoods where they can thrive.
Resilient, Cohesive and Connected Communities
By taking a housing led approach to regeneration and improving local infrastructure and supporting opportunities, we’re working to enhance life chances and wellbeing for all.
Community involvement is at the heart of everything we do. Together, we can build on our already amazing city to ensure that everyone in Newcastle feels welcome, supported, and proud to call their neighbourhood home. We will regenerate the built environment to make it work better for the people who live there: building much needed homes and improving community infrastructure. We are committed to solutions that go beyond just the built environment, to rejuvenate neighbourhoods and enable resilient communities.
