Adult Social Care: Annual Report and Survey

Our Local Annual Report

Every financial year we publish an annual report on care and support for adults, called the Local Account. 

The report shows you how effective we are in supporting adults in Newcastle in a practical ways such as when you:

  • are in your home
  • come out of hospital
  • are in crisis
  • are looking after someone else
  • have a disability
  • need help to get out and about
  • and when we direct you to other information or advice services in the city that can help

National Adult Social Care Survey

The Adult Social Care Survey is a national review of adults who use social care and support services provided or commissioned by their local council.  

The survey asks if the services are helping to improve the person's quality of life and meet their needs.

Sharing your data for research and planning

You can choose if data from your health and social care records can be shared for research or planning.

Sensitive information about the social care support you receive is classified as Confidential Patient Information, just like information about health care under the NHS. 

As well as informing the care you receive, this data can be used to help with research and planning. 

You can choose to stop your confidential patient information being used for research and planning.
