Certificate fees
You can choose to collect your certificate or have it posted.
Collection
You can collect from the reception at Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8QH. Opening times are:
- Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
Please note, you cannot submit an application at the Civic Centre, you must do this online.
Posting
See below for our posting options.
We cannot accept any responsibility for certificates once they have been handed to Royal Mail. If you choose to have your certificate posted, we won't be able to issue a replacement if your order is lost. If this happens you would need to order and pay for a new certificate.
Priority certificates

| Civil partnership certificate | £38.50 |
Priority certificates are:
- posted within 24 hours of us receiving your application (for orders placed before 3pm)
However, certificates are only posted on weekdays. If you order your certificate on a Saturday or Sunday it will not be posted until Monday.
Standard certificates

Standard certificates are:
- issued at the time of registration
- sent out within 15 working days if requested at a later date
